Supernatural Strength

The Sure Source of Supernatural Strength

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” – PS 27:1

Strength is essential for accomplishing anything in life. It fuels our destiny and is required for humans to live. Without strength from God, we cannot fulfill His mandate to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it (Gen 1:28). Strength is needed in various capacities and magnitudes to realize God’s purpose on earth and in our lives. Every stage of life requires different levels of strength for fulfillment. Paul acknowledged this in Phil 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Truly, it takes strength to do all things, both internally and externally.

Many people draw strength from various channels in life. Different things provide vitality to different individuals. Some people source strength from connections, money and wealth, fame or popularity, home-based support, and life’s accomplishments. However, all these sources can fail and disappoint. I’d like to introduce you to the only Source of strength that never fails and lasts forever – God! The ever-present help (Ps 46:1)! This is a secret hidden from many minds; hence, they seek strength from things that fail.

David, in many scriptural writings, acknowledged and declared God as the Strength of his life (Psalm 27:1, Ps 144:1). I believe this acknowledgment of God is one of the secrets to David’s unbeatable records and success in life. He further declared, “My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart…” (Psalms 73:26 NLT). He never lost a battle because the Source of his strength never failed him.

So, my question to you is, who or what is the source of your strength? Have you ever been low in strength or experienced insufficient strength to carry through something that was very critical to your life? I have good news for you, God, the True Source of strength, “gives power to the weak, and to them that have no might He increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29).

All you need to do is WAIT upon Him! For they that wait upon the Lord SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. Understanding is power and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Prov 9:10). Wait upon Him!
